The role of the Director of Global Recruitment & Admissions will be the University’s strategic lead for an integrated and cohesive student journey from initial enquiry through to admissions. The post is a critical appointment for the University, reflected in the role’s leadership of a team of c.150 staff and its reporting line into the Executive Director of Student Experience.

This is a newly formed role that will be responsible for the leadership, development, resourcing, and management of admissions, international recruitment, international relations (including partnerships), UK student recruitment and conversion activity. The Director will revitalise our work in this space and develop our capabilities to help us to grow not only the quantity but also the quality and diversity of our student body. She/he will lead a new Directorate, shaping and delivering refreshed strategies and operating plans, which will, in turn, build a best-in-class recruitment function that will enhance the applicant experience and ensure our activities align with our commitment to quality, excellence, and collegiality.

As a truly global university, in addition to leading on UK/EU and international recruitment, the Director will also play an essential role in supporting our newly refreshed International Strategy, supporting our wider internationalisation activities including TNE and partnership working.

You will be an ambitious and inspirational leader with the ability to lead change and apply first-class systems thinking to a broad and multifaceted area of activity. With a leadership background amassed in a large and complex academic organisation, your track record will evidence significant experience of developing student recruitment strategies that deliver student number growth. Your extensive knowledge of the post-16 educational landscape will be global, and you will possess the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through your professional expertise and credibility.
