Strategic and International Partnerships are increasingly important in building upon the University’s existing profile and ensuring a proactive approach to global developments. Within this directorate #DMUglobal is responsible for delivering the university’s international experience programme for De Montfort University students. With 13,000 students participating in overseas opportunities, and a further 3,800 students engaging in international experiences on campus since the programme launched in 2014, it is has become one of the most comprehensive and innovative international experience programmes at any UK university.

Role

Reporting to the Head of #DMUglobal, the role of Student Exchange Manager will focus on significantly increasing student participation in mobility programmes through Erasmus+ and International Exchange at DMU, coordinating incoming and outgoing mobility across the University.

This management role will require the post-holder to implement new strategies and ideas for developing student exchange, raise the profile of DMU and create sustainable partnerships with institutions across a number of regions globally. Representing #DMUglobal at an institutional level as an expert in mobility matters, this role will also be focused on student and staff engagement, convincing stakeholders of the value of student exchange and developing awareness of associated systems and processes.

Ideal Candidate

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent qualifications or experience, this role would suit an individual with substantial knowledge and experience of delivering student exchange in a higher education setting. You will have experience of working in an international environment in the Higher Education sector, with line management experience and ideally some budget management experience.
