The Open University is one of the UK’s most respected national institutions and the market leader in distance higher education.
We are looking for someone to provide maternity cover for a Senior Manager in the Governance Team with responsibility for supporting formal committees, managing governance improvement projects and for ensuring best practice in governance across the University. You will manage a variety of projects, handle detailed processes and procedures, contribute to their improvement and liaise with a wide range of staff at all levels including senior management and external members of the governing body.
You will have knowledge of governance, experience of servicing high level committees, project management experience, a high standard of written communication and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to manage a range of tasks to agreed high standards and demonstrate discretion in the handling of confidential information.
