Head of Education Strategy – help shape the future for students at Birkbeck.
Birkbeck is seeking an experienced candidate to take up the newly created role of Head of Education Strategy. In this role you will report directly to the Pro-Vice Master for Education and work with senior academic and professional service staff to deliver excellence in education and student experience. You will have a deep understanding of academic administration best practice, excellent leadership, change management experience and strong interpersonal skills, along with the desire to provide students with an excellent university experience. We have a diverse student body of part and full-time students and are a major provider of academic and professional postgraduate education.
Following a review of student experience in 2018 the college developed an implementation plan which is designed to make the College a more navigable, supportive, transparent and consistent for all our students across all areas and levels of study. You will play a key role in the implementation of this plan as well as preparations for application to the Teaching Excellence Framework in 2020. This is part of a concerted investment in our student experience for which a new role of Head of Digital Education is also currently being recruited.

Remuneration
Grade 9 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £55,353 rising to £61,812 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area.
