Faculty Head of Resources and Planning

Kingston University London

Competitive Salary plus benefits

Kingston upon Thames, London

Resource planning is a complex challenge in any organisation. At Kingston University, you will need to get the most from everything, from bricks and mortar facilities to third party services and student recruitment activities. After soaring 23 places in the latest Guardian University Guide league tables and being in the top 10 London institutions, we will look for you to help us raise the bar above an already impressive benchmark. Four of our Faculties are looking to introduce this new role, with a successful candidate based at each one.

The role

Supporting the Dean and as part of the Faculty Leadership Team, you will build relationships and bring internal and external stakeholders together to produce exceptional results. Your strategic knowledge will be pivotal to the successful delivery of professional services and administrative support into and within the Faculty. You will play a vital role in the design, development and completion of key projects whilst constantly reviewing our operations and finding answers to non-academic related issues – all with an eye on optimising costs.

Naturally, this will call for close partnership with the Dean and collaboration with senior leaders in the Faculty and across the University, as well as confident leadership of your Faculty Management Team.

The person

A natural strategist with a passion for communication, you will also bring a wealth of leadership and management experience across organizational boundaries. Highly numerate, you will have good analytical capability with the ability to use data innovatively and demonstrate how you have helped introduce new ways of working. The more change and project management you have led and the deeper your understanding of HE, government funding and the student experience, the faster you will help make Kingston even better for students and colleagues alike.

Closing date for applications is Friday 7th September 2018 at midday.
