Reporting to the vice-chancellor, and as a member of the university’s executive, the deputy vice-chancellor will play a key role in the leadership of the university. Working across the institution, the deputy vice-chancellor will lead on growing student numbers and delivering an improved student experience through the strategic leadership and management of the university’s academic and research portfolio, academic strategy, planning and performance.

The successful candidate will have a deep appreciation of the creative and digital industries with proven experience in academic delivery and management in the context of higher education. They will have the ability to understand and implement academic standards, quality assurance and quality enhancement in higher education, while also acting as an external ambassador for the university. They will also be expected to provide learning and teaching frameworks for research and knowledge exchange.
