An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Professor Sasieni’s Cancer Research UK- King’s College London, Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU). The unit specialises in research to advance cancer prevention, early diagnosis and screening.
The post holder will provide senior oversight and leadership across the breadth of the CPTU portfolio. As Deputy Head of Operations, specific tasks will include:
- To lead in the development and administration of clinical trial activity in the CPTU
- To supervise and conduct clinical trial development work, including writing or overseeing the writing of research grants, protocols and ethics applications.
- To support the strategic and operational functions of the CPTU and deputise for the Head of Operations’ responsibilities in their absence including delegated decision making.
- The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of all areas of trial operations (governance data management, monitoring, vendor liaison etc.) and proven ability to apply these to the development, testing and implementation of trial management procedures.
- This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until the 5th May 2020
