Salary: Grade 6, £28,664 – £31,724 per annum, pro rata. All appointments will normally be made at the bottom of the salary range.

To cope with growing demand and our increasingly global perspective, the Royal College of Music is seeking to engage a Research Administration and Finance Officer. Working as a member of the RCM Research team, the postholder will support all financial aspects of funded research across the College from conception (Pre Award) to completion (Post Award). The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative support, manage systems and provide funder-compliant reporting for research activity in accordance with the RCM’s Research Finance processes.

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

·         Highly numerate, with experience of Higher Education Pre and Post Award administration, including budget set-up, monitoring and reporting

·         A highly organised and professional approach to work with the ability to prioritise under pressure to meet deadlines, particularly in relation to supporting proposals for external funding and project administration

·         Ability to think laterally and solve problems on your own initiative, working effectively with academic and professional staff

·         Flexible and adaptable in your approach to work with the ability to work well as a member of a team
