Job overview
The Student Admissions Advisor will play a key role in the Student Admissions and Recruitment team reporting to the Student Admissions Manager. The Student Admissions Advisor will work to achieve the Trust’s targets for student recruitment for long, Postgraduate level courses. This post is one of two Student Recruitment Advisors and while the courses are split across each role, the Advisors work closely together.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking someone who will have responsibility for the daily activities of student recruitment from the first enquiry until an applicant enrols on the course. The post holder will be expected to support enquirers and applicants in making choices as to the suitability of courses to meet their specific needs. This will involve engagement with Associate Deans, Portfolio Managers and Course Leads.

This role requires a proactive, well-organised individual, who is able to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues, manage multiple priorities, and acquire a strong understanding of our courses in order to deliver effective support to our future students.

Please note this is not a Human Resources role, it is a Student Admissions role in an education setting.

Qualification/Training/Education
Essential criteria
Degree or equivalent experience

Previous Experience
Essential criteria
Experience in student recruitment or admissions in higher education
Demonstrable track record in meeting targets preferably in relation to student recruitment
Desirable criteria
Extensive experience in a customer facing role

Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, and CRM / Student Record Management systems, specifically SITS
Able to use initiative and take action as required

Personal Attributes
Essential criteria
Motivated to deliver a high-quality service, adhering to Trust values and goals
Comfortable working under pressure in a target-driven, complex environment
