Rachel Van Krimpen is Faculty Director of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and People (Science) at the University of Nottingham.
In her work as Director of EDI and People in the Faculty of Science at the University of Nottingham, Rachel leads strategic work to advance equality, diversity and inclusion across research, education and workplace culture, working with colleagues to create more inclusive environments in which people can thrive. This has included programme work focusing on anti-bullying and harassment, neuroinclusion, race equity and gender equity. She is Co-Director of the Nottingham EDI in Research Hub, leading work focusing on inclusive research cultures.
Alongside her university role, Rachel contributes to a range of national initiatives focused on equity in research. Her work has included advising sector organisations and collaborating widely on challenges relating to research funding, research culture and inclusive research environments. She has a particular interest in how institutions can work together to address systemic inequalities and deliver meaningful, sustainable change across higher education.
