Kate is on a mission to make higher education policy better. As GuildHE’s Director of Policy and Strategy, she’s been leading the charge in various roles since 2016, contributing to driving the organisation’s policy work and overall strategic direction. Her expertise is deep, covering everything from regulation and funding to quality and
the student experience – a passion she explored in her PhD research on marketisation and first-in-family students.
Kate also champions creative education policy and supports the GHE Creative network. She’s the connecting force behind all GuildHE’s member networks, building bridges with key stakeholders to ensure policy decisions are backed by solid evidence. Her background includes leading quality and student engagement at NUS and serving as a QAA Reviewer.
