Helen Turner is Director of Midlands Innovation, a partnership of eight research-intensive universities working together to strengthen research, innovation and economic growth across the Midlands. A materials scientist by training, she has spent her career bringing universities, industry and government together. She leads major collaborative programmes spanning research, commercialisation, investment and skills, and is a lay member of the University of Surrey’s Council.
