Harrison Swinhoe is a Teaching Associate in International Relations at the University of Nottingham and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Global Security Challenges at the University of Leeds. His research focuses on Salafi-Jihadist groups’ adaptation and contestation of fundamental concepts in IR , such as sovereignty, statehood, and the nation.
