An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Student Representation Team. The University of Portsmouth Students’ Union is a vibrant, forward-thinking organisation with a vision of ‘Delivering a Positive Impact with every Portsmouth student’.

Our Student Leaders are at the forefront of the organisation representing and championing students want’s, rights and needs. The postholder will be responsible for working with the wider Representation team, to deliver outstanding volunteer training and development support to our Student Leaders (notably Course Reps, Elected Officers and Student Council members) so that they can advocate on behalf of students, work in partnership with the University to co-create and overcome barriers and deliver campaigns that improve the student experience. The post also supports our Quality Assurance processes by working with student data and feedback to identify areas of best practice across the University and make recommendations on areas that improve the academic experience.

The Person

We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about academic and democratic representation and enhancing the student voice. The postholder will be knowledgeable about student democratic processes and have great partnerships skills to be able to engage with our student volunteers and University stakeholders. For this position you need to be committed to deliver the best service to our students and be able to act in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Proactivity and problem solving are key skills for this role.
