The Evaluation and Policy Department provides policy and data analysis, and insight and evaluation to support the University’s decision-making to enable evidence-driven interventions and activities to deliver the University’s strategic priorities, in particular in relation to education and the student experience.

We are looking to appoint a Policy and Projects Manager to provide high-level policy advice and analysis on higher education sector policy developments to the University’s senior management, including provision of information to ensure the University meets its obligations with respect to key sector bodies, such as the Office for Students.  Alongside responsibilities for briefing on policy developments, your role will also manage and provide support on a range of education and student experience strategic projects, working closely with the Head of Department and other senior colleagues across the institution. Your post will also have responsibility for line managing the Education and Student Experience Officer.

In order to be successful in this post, you should have:

  • A detailed knowledge and understanding of the UK higher education sector and policy landscape is essential
  • The ability clearly communicate and present detailed information
  • Experience of liaising with sector agencies and building strong networks
  • Experience of managing and supporting strategic projects and initiatives.
