Director of Employability

Expires

28th April 2019

Department: Vice-Chancellor’s Office

Ref: CT6632

The University of Bath is one of the UK’s top universities, ranked 6th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2019 and 4th overall in the THE Student Experience Survey 2018.

Fundamental to our success is our impressive record for graduate employability, most recently seen in our ranking of 5th for graduate prospects in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.

To build on our success in this increasingly competitive area we have created the exciting new role of Director of Employability, reporting directly to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching). This is a unique opportunity to lead the holistic development of student employability across an ambitious and forward-thinking University.

This senior role will provide the strategic visioning and leadership to shape, inform and deliver on our new Employability Framework across the University, putting student employability at the centre of all that we do, including embedding student employability in our curriculum. It will line manage the Careers Service and have oversight of the Faculty-based Placement & Business Development services and Students’ Union employability services to create a singular, distinctive and integrated employability offer for our students.

Informal enquiries about this role may be directed to Professor Peter Lambert, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) via email at pro-vc-landt@bath.ac.uk including arranging a call.
