Assistant Registrar, Assessment

Expires

4th January 2022

Education Policy and Quality is at the heart of the University’s Education Group: our purpose is to support the delivery of our education strategy; develop educational policy; and to assure and enhance our educational provision in order to contribute positively to our student experience. We are a friendly team of around 20 colleagues, working in a hybrid manner supported by an agreed structure to help us make the best of opportunities to come together. We work supportively to deliver a demanding and dynamic portfolio of projects and business as usual.

The Assistant Registrar (Assessment) is vital to our delivery of our education strategy because of the cross-cutting importance of assessment to our educational provision. We are looking for a dynamic university manager to ensure that our regulation, policy, procedures and systems relating to the assessment of students are fit for purpose and continuously improved.

You will be a talented professional with a commitment to the delivery of a high-quality service, who appreciates the importance of the student experience. You will be able to communicate clearly and persuade gently but effectively. You will be an enthusiastic team player but also be able to work independently and have the confidence to drive change autonomously. You will have recent experience of quality assurance and enhancement operations in a higher education environment and be able to retain your focus and prioritise effectively within a broad and busy portfolio.
