What you’ll be doing

As Assistant Director of Knowledge and Innovation, you’ll make sure we create consistently high-quality, innovative products and services, from thought leadership content to reports, events and consultancy services.

That we take a forward view, ensuring a sector leading innovative approach through the quality and impact of our offer.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll lead the team that delivers these services, ensuring they are credible and influential experts able to help and challenge higher education be the best it can be, realising our strategic ambitions.

In addition, you’ll support our strategy and growth ambitions through strong matrix management and collaboration with senior colleagues across the directorate. Staying ahead of developments in the education sector is also a vital part of your work — your horizon scanning will generate the key insights that shape and improve our offering.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a highly capable, commercially aware higher education leader with a strong track record in delivering significant projects. Being able to devise strategies and successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams will be important in this role, as will a real passion for inspiring and motivating colleagues.

Using your wealth of experience, you’ll be able to fuse the varied talents of the team to deliver outstanding products and services that will help improve higher education standards across the UK.

Your expertise in change management will also help us transform and progress our ways of working to enable us to realise our growth plans, through both your teams but also our associate community.

What do you need

Experience in senior leadership and management.

Knowledge and experience of consultancy services and the higher education landscape.

Experience in designing impactful, innovative solutions for our members and also paid for products and services.

Experience in leading successful change management
