About the awards
Now in their sixth year, the WUSCAs offer prospective students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems. The awards are based on averages taken from tens of thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on Whatuni.com.

Main table categories
University of the Year, Accommodation, Job Prospects, Course & Lecturers, Students’ Union, Uni Facilities, City Life, Clubs & Societies, Student Support, International and Postgraduate.
Independent higher education institutions are eligible for inclusion in our Independent HE category. Further education colleges with HE provision are eligible for inclusion in our FE College category.
Submission based categories
‘Prospective Student Engagement’ – for unique & engaging campaigns that improve the journey into university for prospective students.
‘Giving Back’ – for innovative & impactful campaigns and projects that give back to a community, be it internationally, nationally, locally, or within an institution.
Both the above categories are judged by the Whatuni Student Advisory Board, a group of sixth form, college and university students.
