HEIR conference
Liverpool John Moores University is proud to hold the Higher Education Institutional Research (HEIR) Conference between 7-8 September 2016. The event will take place at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.
HEIR2016 will explore the role of metrics and data in supporting higher education institutions, agencies and practitioners to make sense of the rapidly changing and globalised education context.
Whilst welcoming submissions on all aspects of institutional research (outlined in the conference tracks) HEIR2016 will have a particular focus on student success, and current debates around teaching excellence and value-added higher education. There is growing interest around the world in measuring how much students learn in higher education, and the contribution that institutions, courses or educational activities make to that learning. Practitioners and institutional researchers are faced with the need of finding ways of harnessing or generating new data that can support institutional decision-making with the ultimate aim of improving the student experience.
