Wonkhe and the UPP Foundation are delighted to announce that we are working together in the development of a new podcast series on higher education. A pilot will go live in December with a 12 episode season planned for early 2018.
The podcast series will delve into current policy and politics around HE, it will profile the people that matter (from all walks of university life), include features on longer-term issues and trends and discuss some of the projects underway at the UPP Foundation. For both the super wonks and the tens of thousands of more casual observers of HE policy, the podcast will be a fun and hopefully useful addition your commute home, or when it’s your turn to do the washing up.
Mark Leach, Wonkhe’s Founder and Editor said “We’ve wanted to produce a podcast for years, we think it will be the perfect addition to our regular output that people know us for – primarily the email briefings and blogs. So we’re really excited to announce our move into this area and we’re delighted that the UPP Foundation is supporting us.”
Richard Brabner, Head of UPP Foundation said “I listen to podcasts every day during my daily commute – from sport to politics to the Radio 4 catalogue – so I find it exasperating and extraordinary that there isn’t a quality podcast dedicated to universities. When I found out that the team at Wonkhe felt exactly the same way, there was only one sensible course of action. To set it up ourselves! I’m thrilled that the UPP Foundation is supporting the development of this series with the brilliant team at Wonkhe, which will become the podcast home for all HE wonks.”
The podcast series builds on the successful policy forums established by Wonkhe and the UPP Foundation over the last year continuing tonight with a debate tonight on value for money in HE.
