A vacancy has arisen for a REF Impact Manager within the Research Strategy Unit at the University of Nottingham.

The REF Impact Manager will support the REF Manager in the management and delivery of the University’s REF Impact preparations for REF 2021.  They will work with academic staff, School-based REF co-ordinators, staff across Research, Enterprise & Graduate Services and with other Professional Service departments to manage the identification, development and preparation of REF impact case studies and statements.  They will become the institutional expert on REF Impact requirements, providing advice and guidance on the impact element of REF and supporting the REF manager in the delivery of impact review activities at the University.

The key areas of activity will include the development of a REF Impact Strategy, the co-ordination and management of impact reviews, and the development of an impact communications plan.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or above, or have significant relevant experience, have strong communications and project management skills and a good understanding of the assessment of academic research within Higher Education.

This position is based on a full time, permanent contract.
