Ola Thomson is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Education at the University of Bristol, specialising in research evaluation, research culture, and trust in research assessment. Her current research focuses on evaluation systems shaping academic careers, institutional practices, and the production of knowledge, as well as equality, diversity and inclusion in research careers and institutional change. She is a member of the Hidden REF and Embedding Trust in Evaluation (E-TIE) projects, which aim to promote more inclusive, responsible, and trustworthy approaches to research evaluation.
