Patrina Law is Lifelong Learning Lead at the RSA and oversees the UK Digital Badging Commission, researching and advising on policy around digital credentials. Formerly head of The Open University’s OpenLearn, she grew the platform to 14m+ learners a year. Her work focuses on learner motivation, sustainable open-education models, and credentials that support under-represented learners. In 2023 she co-authored UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Report and received the Open Education Global Leadership Award. A Principal Fellow of the HEA, she is a trustee of Cumberland Lodge, serves on the RSA Journal editorial board, and is a Reader for the Queen Elizabeth Prizes for Education.
