Zena Kamash FSA is a British Iraqi archaeologist and Senior Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London. Her latest book – Heritage and Healing in Syria and Iraq (2024, Manchester University Press) – promotes gentler, approaches to heritage damaged in conflict that place local communities at their heart. She has recently led a British Academy-funded project in Iraq exploring the relationship between heritage, crafting and wellbeing, and has been a trustee of Oxfordshire Mind.
