Bronwyn Parry is professor of global health and social medicine and director of the King’s Sanctuary Programme at King’s College London. Bronwyn leads the university’s response to the global issue of forced displacement which affects more than 80 million people worldwide.
Bronwyn was academic lead for the PADILEIA programme from 2016-19 and in her role as Vice President and Vice Principal for Service at King’s College London she later led the development and delivery of the King’s Refugee Community Sponsorship Scheme.
Bronwyn is currently working on introducing service learning modules, including cultural competency, creative change making and community organising, into King’s First Year: Gateway to King’s. This new pathway is designed to support student transition into and through the first year of university study, developing skillsets and mindsets as part of the university’s commitment to service, through a shared experience around which a community of lifelong learners can form.
