Dr Anna Bull and Dr Kim Allen look hard at the ideological roots of Sir Anthony Seldon’s recent report for HEPI, and find a number of reasons to be cautious about the conclusions drawn therein.
Anna Bull is a co-founder of The 1752 Group, a lobby group and consultancy working to end sexual exploitation in higher education. Anna has been active in voluntary roles in the sexual violence sector, including delivering workshops for young people on sexual consent and healthy relationships and supporting survivors of sexual violence. She is currently a lecturer in the sociology department at the University of Portsmouth. Her academic research examines class and gender inequality and cultural participation. Anna is currently working with music education institutions to improve safeguarding within the sector.
