Alex Erdlenbruch is Executive Officer to the Vice Chancellor at Birmingham City University. He provides senior executive and strategic advice to the Vice Chancellor and is responsible for overseeing and driving the development, execution, and communication of the University’s strategic priorities. He leads institution-wide projects and initiatives and oversees the broader Vice Chancellor’s Office.
Prior to joining Birmingham City University, Alex worked at the University of Leicester where he was Chief of Staff and Strategic Planning Manager (Governance). He also held numerous roles in the Vice Chancellor’s Office at De Montfort University.
Alex graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA (Hons) in History and Politics and a MA in European Politics and Public Policy. In between his studies, he was a students’ union officer (International Students’ Officer) at Sheffield Students’ Union.
