HE institution staff survey 2025
Thank you for your interest in this survey of staff in UK higher education institutions. Below we explain why we have launched this survey, who it is for and how we will manage the data we collect. Scroll down to enter the survey.
The survey is for individuals employed in UK higher education institutions in any capacity, including staff and paid student officers in students’ unions. It is not for governors, unpaid student reps or other volunteers, unpaid associates, or for those employed in sector organisations or other organisations that are not higher education institutions.
We are trying to build a picture of aspects of higher education staff experiences that might not always get captured in institutional surveys or be well understood at national level. We think this is valuable to help inform policymaking and the leadership and management of change given the financial and external pressures currently facing higher education.
The survey will ask you about your context, your views on the quality of your working environment, your priorities for your work and your views of working in higher education right now. The majority of questions are optional and neither you nor your institution will be identifiable from the data we collect.
Data from the survey will be held securely on the Wonkhe system and will not be shared with third parties. We expect to report the results in September 2025 assuming we have sufficient responses for the data to be meaningful.
At the end of the survey you will be given the opportunity to share your email address to be entered into the prize draw to win one of five £50 voucher prizes and equivalent donation to a charity of your choice. We will use this data only for the purposes of the prize draw and will store it separately from the main survey data and delete it once the prize draw has been completed.
If you have any questions about the survey let us know at team@wonkhe.com
