Public Affairs and Policy Officer

The University of Portsmouth is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to support our Vice-Chancellor and Senior Management Team, focussing on influencing and responding to the rapidly evolving context within which the University operates.

The post-holder will be required to undertake research and analysis of HE policy developments and brief our Senior Management Team and Governors providing advice and recommendations for action. The successful candidate will require excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills enabling the post holder to develop effective relationships with external stakeholders in government and public policy areas.

This new post will report to the Vice-Chancellor and the post-holder will work closely with colleagues in our Planning and Marketing and Communications departments to develop a co-ordinated public affairs and policy strategy for the University.

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 3 May 2016.
