Bournemouth University’s vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

Joining our Planning, Risk, Intelligence, Management information and Enhancement (PRIME) team, you will work within a team of friendly Analysts, supporting both corporate and academic activities. You will provide professional advice and a responsive, high quality, information, analysis and planning service to enable effective, evidence based decision making by Senior Management, Faculties, and key Professional Services throughout BU.

This is a highly varied role at the heart of which lies the need to be able to handle large volumes of data, and translate analyses into valuable insight and advice which will enhance your colleagues’ understanding of complex areas.  Presenting your findings in written reports, tables, and visual reporting formats, you will ensure each analysis is uniquely tailored for the relevant audience and will be confident in effectively communicating results and recommendations.  You will also play a key role in the assurance of the quality of statutory reporting, independently verifying that robust and accurate information is submitted to key bodies such as the Office for Students (OfS) and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).

You will have a background in a similar Analyst role; as such you will be comfortable working with large volumes of data from a variety of sources and have experience of shaping complex information into understandable formats.  With the capacity to work flexibly and prioritise a varied workload, you will be highly numerate, with good attention to detail and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

For the right person, this role presents the opportunity to work in an innovative and ambitious team at a time of rapid development in our reporting technology capabilities.  With your input, we will have access to more timely and valuable analysis of information, presenting you with the chance to work on a range of stimulating projects.
