Head of Student Admissions

Expires

6th July 2020

The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is seeking an experienced admissions professional to be responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and enhancement of the School’s student admissions and student visa-related processes, to ensure that they operate effectively and that they provide a high-quality experience for applicants and other stakeholders. Reporting on the work of staff within the Student Admissions Office, the role holder will maintain a high-level overview of national policy developments relating to admissions, advising and making recommendations to the School’s Executive Management Group as necessary. They will also regularly report on data, trends, and opportunities regarding student recruitment and admissions, to ensure that the School’s annual targets are achieved and that future forecasting is reliable and achievable.

The Head of Student Admissions will chair the School’s Admissions and Recruitment Group, and will manage its extensive schedule of interviews and admissions, including those taking place overseas. As such, the role involves occasional domestic and international travel.

The ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders – including applicants, students, and academic staff – is an essential quality for the role holder. So too is the ability to organise and prioritise individual and team workload within a busy environment.
