As a Faculty Director, you will work alongside the Vice-President and Head of Faculty to ensure the successful performance of the Faculty of Science in all aspects, whilst also leading the Faculty professional staff. Reporting jointly to the Vice-President and Head of Faculty and the Executive Director of Academic Services, the Director will provide strategic and operational advice and insight on a wide range of matters including staffing, finance, resource planning and estates, and the associated plans for delivery. As a member of the Faculty Executive Board (FEB), the Director will play a lead role in delivering on university-wide change activity principally in partnership with the Executive Director of Academic Services, but also other senior Professional Services colleagues.

Our new Director will be an experienced strategic and operational leader with a track record of leading a range of professional services in a large and complex organisation. Experience of working in higher education is highly desirable, though candidates from other sectors will be considered if they can demonstrate an interest in, and knowledge of, the sector. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with the ability and gravitas to lead a high-performing team of experts. The successful candidate will be well-versed in broader people and process change management and will possess a strong commitment to providing outstanding service through an innovative and dynamic approach.
