City, University of London is a global university committed to academic excellence with a focus on business and the professions and an enviable central London location. City attracts around 20,000 students (over 40% at postgraduate level) from more than 150 countries and staff from over 75 countries. In the last Research Excellence Framework (REF), City doubled the proportion of its total academic staff producing world-leading or internationally excellent research and this is set to increase by a similar amount in the next REF.

Led by President, Professor Sir Paul Curran, City has made significant investments in its academic staff, its estate and its infrastructure and continues to work towards realising its vision of being a leading global university. Founded in 1894, City is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.

The Director of Research & Enterprise reports to the Vice-President (Research & Enterprise) and leads the Research & Enterprise Office.  Research and Enterprise are central to the successful implementation of City’s Vision & Strategy 2026 and the supporting Research and Enterprise Strategy. City is seeking to recruit a high-calibre individual to help shape the future of the institution, working closely with the President, Vice-President (Research & Enterprise), other members of the Executive Team and the Executive Committee.
