The University of Hertfordshire is looking for a skilled and proactive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Specialist to join our Insight and CRM Team to support the University’s implementation of new CRM systems and processes to optimise the student journey.

You will be pivotal to the design and delivery of CRM at the University, responsible for providing specialist support for users across the university, creating dashboards and reports, marketing segmentations, managing configuration and campaigns, communicating changes and updates to end users and assisting with implementing staff training and development sessions across the University.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will work within the Marketing and Communications department to support the implementation, management and development of the Salesforce CRM with a focus on customer experience throughout the customer journey from prospective applicant to alumni with the objective of improving conversion, retention and engagement.

You will work collaboratively with departments across the university to develop super users and CRM champions across the different student journey cycles (enquiry to application, application to enrolment, events, marketing campaigns) and other discreet CRM activities and support colleagues in the creation of dashboards and data reporting.

You will be responsible for supervision and maintenance of data quality metrics, marketing segmentations and insight reports and dashboards within the CRM.

You will support users in the transition from existing systems to the new Salesforce CRM.

Skills and experience required

You will have proven CRM specialist experience ideally within a marketing or sales context. You will also have experience of data management, writing and delivering user guidelines and training, and knowledge of GDPR and data security best practices.

An understanding and knowledge of Higher Education and how CRM plays a role in the student journey would be desirable.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with A-levels, or equivalent qualification, or professional proven work experience. You will also hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent level qualification.
