Communications and Projects Officer

Yorkshire Universities are currently looking for a Communications and Projects Officer (CPO) to join the Executive Team within Yorkshire Universities (YU). YU is a regional membership association, representing eleven universities and one specialist higher education institution (HEI) in Yorkshire. Members are the universities of Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Leeds Beckett, Leeds Trinity, Leeds Arts, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, York, and York St John, as well as the Leeds Conservatoire. The primary focus of YU is to strengthen the contributions of universities and higher education institutions in Yorkshire and the Humber to local and regional growth and development.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the communications support within YU and providing direct contributions toward ongoing projects and workstreams including: the Research England funded Yorkshire and Humber Policy Engagement and Research Network (Y-PERN), the UPP founded Regional Sustainability Service-learning Brokerage Pilot, the Graduate Employment and Employability Implementation Group, and the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission (YHCC).

Working closely in a small team, with the Executive and Assistant Directors and the Research and Policy Officer, the post holder will play a key role in building and strengthening YU’s brand.
