Cynthia Keza Birikundavyi is a Canadian Burundian writer and PhD researcher at the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute, University of Manchester.
More than a decade into a career spanning four continents, she has worked across humanitarian response and international organisations, including Médecins Sans Frontières, UNMAS, Oxfam and UNHCR. Her experience also includes organisational advisory work across inclusive leadership, people systems and organisational development.
Her research, commentary and creative writing occupy different parts of that landscape, engaging in various ways with questions of responsibility, power, identity and belonging, and with how people experience the institutions and systems around them.
