As part of Imperial’s Learning and Teaching Strategy, we are appointing a Senior Education Evaluation Officer within the Strategic Planning Division. Alongside the Education Evaluation Manager, you will support evaluation of the Learning and Teaching Strategy, including the Imperial student experience, and our Access and Participation Plan (APP). You will contribute to data and policy work relating to students and education (e.g. National Student Survey (NSS), APP and Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)). You will produce performance measures on participation and attainment gaps and support development of an evaluation strategy. This will support Imperial in improving access, success and progression of students from underrepresented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds.
What you would be doing:
As one of three Senior Education Evaluation Officers working with the Education Evaluation Manager to:
• Design and maintain reports and dashboards to provide Imperial, Faculty, Department and programme level data on key education performance measures;
• Provide analysis of internal and external data and communicate these in writing and orally;
• Contribute to the development of the education evaluation strategy;
• Provide a service to academic staff undertaking evaluation;
• Support development, monitoring and evaluation of Imperial’s APP;
• Support preparation of Imperial’s TEF submissions, with expert understanding of operational details and metrics;
• Analyse NSS outcomes, prepare dashboards and disseminate findings;
• Prepare briefings and analyses.
What we are looking for:
• Experience analysing complex datasets and summarising themes, including in written documents, with the ability to interpret and explain complicated information and data
• Knowledge of the principal data sources used in Higher Education, particularly related to the student lifecycle
• Accuracy and attention to detail in written and analytical work
• High degree of computer competency, including databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, ability to work on own initiative
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and interest in the Higher Education sector

Post is full-time and offered on an open-ended contract. We would welcome applications from internal candidates interested in a secondment opportunity (12 months). The post is based at South Kensington initially with the primary location moving to White City in 2025.
