Student Champion Project Manager

Empowering change through education.

Professor Edward Peck, Vice Chancellor and President of Nottingham Trent University has recently been appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) as the Student Support Champion. This new role provides sectoral leadership to share best practice and promote new initiatives for how to ensure students remain supported and engaged with their course.

We are looking for an individual to support Professor Peck in identifying and implementing changes nationally that will really make a difference to the lives of students. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to coordinate and drive forward this critical work to support students across higher education. This project will help ensure universities are tackling the issues that matter most for students and support universities to spot the first warning signs of students suffering with their mental health and optimise their interventions.

For the first two years, you will be focused on managing the design and delivery of workstreams and producing briefings and reports. You will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the sector and the DfE, with and on behalf of Professor Peck, to find and gain acceptance for evidence-based solutions. After this work is complete, you will undertake similar activities within NTU. Secondment arrangements can be considered.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a formal interview during August.
