The Student Data Quality Analyst is a newly created role that will join our recently restructured Registry Services. You will joining us at a time of exciting change and will have the opportunity to influence a new phase of student administration across the College. As part of our commitment to the continued improvement and enhancement of student administration at Goldsmiths, we have reviewed and restructured our Registry team, to create two parallel teams; Registry Systems and Data and Registry Operations.

The Student Data Quality Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Registry Systems and Data team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide data quality expertise to Registry and to embed a sound culture of data quality in to our student administration. The role holder will provide data quality expertise and contribute to the agenda of continuous improvement, improving and embedding effective operational practices around student data, management information and internal / external reporting.

This new role will join a community of data experts across the College and will work collaboratively with them to ensure effective links and a collective and cohesive approach to data management and optimism of statutory returns.

As a Data Futures Alpha and Beta pilot institution this role holder will have a key role in the Data Futures Project Delivery Team, offering expertise to the project team, as well as playing an active role in delivering necessary changes.

We are seeking an experienced professional with proven ability to use record systems to extract data to provide accurate management information data. You should have experience of working in an analytical or statistical role and be able to use data query and extraction tools. The role holder will need to have good working knowledge and an understanding of working in a regulated environment, it would be advantageous to have experience of HESA, the Higher Education statutory landscape and an understanding of how statutory returns impact league tables and TEF.

The role holder will need good interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues in a helpful and sensitive manner, building cross team professional networks. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to think quickly, be a real team player and have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
