Project Officer – Designation

Expires

11th April 2017

£35,369 to £44,523 per annum dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience

The higher education sector is going through a period of change with the Higher Education and Research bill going through Parliament and the subsequent introduction of the Office for Students and a new regulatory and quality framework in England. As part of these changes, provision is made for the designation of a quality body to undertake quality assessment functions, and a key strategic aim of the QAA is to achieve this designation. We are looking for a highly organised Project Officer who will support the Head of Quality Design and Designation.

You will be responsible for managing the project schedule, monitoring progress and flagging any concerns or issues or delays to the Head. You will be a point of contact for internal colleagues who work on associated work streams, providing support and ensuring alignment for delivery of project outcomes. Within the project you will also have responsibility for running some of the work streams, working with colleagues across and external to QAA.

You will have experience of project management and oversight to enable you to ensure that project milestones are achieved, identifying delays and proposing solutions. The role will have contact with stakeholders both internal and external to QAA so excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be key.

This is a full time, fixed term post for 2 years and will consider applications on a secondment basis. The role is based in our Gloucester office, but may involve travel throughout the UK and working from one of our other offices on occasions.

More information can be found in the job description on our website, http://www.qaa.ac.uk/about-us/vacancies. If you are interested in this role, please email your CV and covering letter to our HR team at vacancies@qaa.ac.uk.

Closing date for applications is Tuesday 11 April 2017 at midday.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 3 May 2017 at our Gloucester office.

QAA welcomes applications from people in all sections of the community and values diversity.

If you have not heard from QAA within three weeks of the closing date for this vacancy, then your application has not been successful. Please be aware that we are unable to provide feedback on individual job applications.
