An exciting role closely linked to ongoing developments in the higher education landscape is available in the Institutions Directorate, with a key focus in managing the Council`s relationships with alternative providers of higher education. We are looking to recruit one Higher Education Policy Adviser at pay band 7.

This role will involve working with a number of alternative providers through visits and other engagement activity. You will be developing a working knowledge of, and contribute to, a rapidly changing and developing policy area. You will link together information on regulatory processes, data on a range of subjects, and build a rich understanding of alternative providers. The successful post-holder will manage contacts with a portfolio of providers and have responsibility for supporting those providers, and identifying risks and opportunities – working with the Department for Education.

This role is based in Bristol, but will involve regular travel throughout England (mostly London) and occasionally the wider United Kingdom.
