The University now seeks to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Director of International Recruitment & Partnerships to lead a high-profile strategic function in support of the delivery of the University’s Internationalisation Strategy with a particular focus on international student recruitment.  This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and customer focused student recruitment professional to play a pivotal role in attracting students from around the globe as well as enhancing the University’s international profile, reputation and impact.

The Opportunity

  • Reporting directly to the Academic Registrar (Director of Student Services) and supporting the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Engagement and Internationalisation and the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Learning and Teaching you will also work closely with the Registrar and other members of the executive team
  • You will have a broad portfolio of responsibilities in support of the University’s Internationalisation Strategy with a particular emphasis on the strategic leadership and optimisation of  international student recruitment
  • Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders and partners, you will provide senior level strategic leadership, advice, expertise, knowledge and horizon-scanning around International student recruitment and partnerships
  • As a confident leader adept at developing your teams, you will actively promote a culture of high performance, proactivity and innovation, encouraging an ethos of business partnering in support of colleagues across the institution

The Candidate

  • You will demonstrate up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the complexities of the global higher education market with a solid understanding of the key drivers affecting international student recruitment
  • Culturally aware and sensitive to the dynamics and priorities of an academically led environment, you will possess an inspirational and energising leadership style and the intellectual bandwidth that enables you to quickly build credibility and trust with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Highly organised and results driven, you will be experienced in managing significant resources (people and budgets), encouraging effective and collaborative ways of working that ensure that key University objectives are met
