Mark Leach

Mark Leach is the founder, Editor in Chief and Director of Wonkhe. Mark worked in policy, politics and public affairs in and around UK higher education and founded Wonkhe whilst working as a jobbing policy wonk in the sector. The first part of his career took him to the National Union of Students, HEFCE, University Alliance, GuildHE as well as a stint in politics as a special adviser to the former Shadow Minister for Universities & Science. Mark began work on Wonkhe full time in mid-2014.

As Director of Wonkhe, Mark leads and develops the growing organisation including chairing the company board, advisory board and leading a small team in London. His role as Editor in Chief of the site and its various channels means Mark writes, commissions and edits articles on the site, edits the Monday Morning HE Briefing and Wonkhe Daily email briefings, chairs the Editorial Group and oversees and produces all other Wonkhe output.
