Candy is Professor in Animal Behaviour and Cognition at Newcastle University, and has held a number of leadership roles inside (and outside) the university around advancing equality, diversity and inclusion. She is currently Dean for Research Culture & Strategy, a new role with responsibility for enhancing research culture across the institution.
