Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson is Director of Student Support and Engagement at Leeds Trinity University (LTU), and has been in post since July 2020, appointed when the University was in full ‘return to campus’ planning mode. Prior to her role at LTU Ruth has been working in HE for 15 years and was most recently in Strategic Delivery at the University of Sunderland, and 7 years growing and embedding the student support functions at the University of Sunderland in London – a student body growing from 0 to 10,000 in 7 years. Ruth has worked in HE in FE, is a qualified teach and has worked in sixth from colleges and taught in schools in the UK and in Sri Lanka. Her passion for student experience is paramount to all of her working life. She lives in the north east with her young family and is in the final stages of her professional doctorate.
