Rachael Firth

Rachael Firth was Chief Operating Officer of Wonkhe, leading the support functions including finance, HR, events, operations and facilities while also being involved in various pieces of content, mainly the Wonkhe podcast. Previously, she was Head of Events and Engagement at Universities UK, responsible for event output, sponsorship and internal communications. Over three years she developed an internal comms strategy, increased net surplus by over 400%, and won “in-house events team of the year” at the ICEAWARDS 2017, which she very rarely mentions. Rachael has worked in both corporate and not-for-profit roles over her career including at Emap, the National Union of Students (NUS), and ITV. She studied at the University of Bedfordshire (when it was the University of Luton) and is currently on BedsSU board of trustees.
