Peter leads on the EU research and innovation policy brief. His main focus is on UK universities’ participation in the current EU framework programme, Horizon 2020, and he is working on the implications of Brexit in this area. He also oversees UUKi’s involvement in EU policymaking in related fields such as open science, the European Research Area, copyright and research integrity.

He joined UUKi from the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Prior to this he worked in a number of higher education policy roles both in the UK and in Brussels. He holds a BA in French and Polish from the University of Sheffield, and an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe (Natolin).
