Paul Blagburn

Paul is Head of Widening Participation and Social Mobility at the University of Warwick, leading the institution’s Access and Participation Plan and strategy to support underrepresented students across the student lifecycle.

With over 22 years of experience in higher education, Paul brings deep sector expertise to his role. He oversees a team working across access, student success, evaluation, academic engagement, partnerships, and sustained outreach. Paul is particularly interested in evidence-informed policy and practice, and in designing student-centred provision that supports meaningful engagement and success. He also serves as a Trustee of a multi-academy trust in East London, and is a passionate advocate for the transformative impact of education in advancing social mobility.
