Mack Marshall is Editorial Coordinator at Wonkhe and Policy Officer at The Post-18 Project. Previously Mack was Wonkhe SUs’ Community and Policy Officer.
After finishing his term as Education Officer at Newcastle University Students’ Union in 2022–23, he worked in student voice and academic representation at The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University.
During his time as a student, he was both a course and school rep, working on supporting the student experience during the pandemic and later working in partnership with university staff on assessment and feedback sprints. As Education Officer, Mack led on key campaigns including lobbying for enhanced support during the cost of living crisis, coordinating the TEF student submission, and other projects including tackling hidden course costs to make higher education as supportive, accessible, and inclusive as possible.
Working at The Union, MMU, Mack has supported student officers and course reps to have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to positively make change and improve the university experience. He is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE’s Higher Education Academy, a huge film and Doctor Who fan, and sometimes does ultra marathons to his own confusion.
